Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, Life As I See It! This blog is just a place for me to share my thoughts on, well, everyday life. We all have stories and thoughts to share, so I figured I would just start up a blog to put some of mine out there.

I began running more seriously in 2016, so I will tend to post about the races I run. I am also a cybersecurity student, graduating in the fall of 2020. Thus, you will also see some IT, cybersecurity, and related content on here as well. Another passion of mine is cooking. So, from time to time, I might post a recipe I have come up with or refined. It really is all about, well, life!

Thanks for stopping by and, if you have any thoughts to share on my topics, please feel free to comment and let me/us/the world know! Cheers!

Back into Gaming!

So, it is a bit strange. Several years ago, oh, about 15 years or so, I loved gaming; so much so, that I would spend entire days, "blowing shit up," as my wife puts it. And then, mysteriously, I just lost interest. I am not sure if it was just the staleness of all of the games at the time or what. After all, Battlefield and Call of Duty just seemed like the same game, perhaps a few different skins, and a weird sense that people could see me even through a wall. I just lost touch with it.

During my time in New Mexico, I was introduced to Clash of Clans. Over the past six years, that has really been all I have played, as well as Brawl Stars. I lost touch of PC gaming completely. I just really did not care for it much anymore. This crazy pandemic thing and a good friend pulled me back into a little portion of my old reality. Once again, I find myself intrigued by PC gaming!

The game right now is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I have been playing the free-to-play Warzone game with one of my friends, sometimes, but mostly by myself. It has great action and is much different than what I remember. The feel to it is more or less that of Fortnite, which I played once. I have been so entranced by it that I broke down tonight and bought the full game. Time will tell if it goes by the wayside like so many others before it but, for now, it is great to be playing on a PC again!
